In my past eight years, writing almost daily articles on my website, I usually stay clear of writing about religion, only rarely touching on the subject from time to time. However I do write on a variety of subjects, philosophy, psychology, politics, child rearing, and current events.

Because the current news cycle is focused on a speech the President gave at the National Prayer meeting in Washington a few days ago, I decided to express my opinion about it. Because of my love of freedom and deep concern about the America I love. Because this nation was founded upon Christian Principles, now under attack, it’s time every citizen should speak up, because everyone, bar none, is affected by politician decisions made in Washington. And no one is entitled to sit back and do nothing about it.

Several recent news reports about the U.S. National Security Agencies under Obama, all penetrated by a religious sect, quite different than Christianity this Nation was founded upon.

In the speech delivered by the President, he described some of the horrors of the beginnings of Christianity years past as being as bad or comparable to the religious atrocities being committed today, which came across as being critical of Christianity. As a result , the needle of apathy stirred amongst some church leaders and members now speaking out and they should. In my opinion long overdue.

This week, Pastor Robert Jeffress of Dallas Texas, appeared on Fox News Bill O’Reilly show, speaking out with moral indignation against Obamas’s remarks, which came across as using Christian activities as scapegoats to defend current adverse religious activities unfavorably to change this country.

Most will recall, prior to Barack Obama’s first term as President, he attended as a member of Reverend Wright’s church in Chicago. As pasteo of the church he openly preached condemnation of America, going so far as to say, “God Damn America.”  President Obama did leave that church as I understand it, as a member, when elected President. But had attended regularly according to news reports before becoming president.

The role of President of the United States is to protect this country from foreign and domestic enemies, and if reports are true thatd ifferent political and religious groups invaded areas in the seat of government in Washington, then it is the responsibility of the people to speak up, speak out, and act to regain the Principles upon which this nation was founded, based upon Christian teachings.

I’m one who blesses the theory Of Corrie Ten Boom, a former prisoner of German concentration camps, who blessed the filth that brought the flies because it prevented SS troops from raping the women prisoners.

As objectionable as the remarks come across that the president stated about Christianity,  I for one bless the fact he expressed them, because they moved the apathy off the dime of those who have been silently sitting by, as this country has gone from a nation of Freedom, to one now in bondage under a different system of socialism.

I frequently listen to sermons delivered by various preachers, who seem to be oblivious to what has happened to the Freedom of the people of this country on TV. Wondered if and when leaders of organized religions would speak up and speak out against the onslaught of political actions against the Freedoms this nation once enjoyed. In my opinion, a long time coming, and overdue. However, the prayer speech by the President of the United States has riled up the sleeping giant, and hopefully not bullied into silent retreat.

For this reason, I’m thankful the President made the speech at the prayer breakfast. If his stated stance doesn’t stir the intellectual nettle of enough Christian Church leaders, to rise up in moral indignation over the current takeover of this great Country, I don’t know what will. Freedom is our most precious commodity and it has been hijacked and replaced by a different system, right before our eyes in this information age, reported daily in news cycles in broad daylight.

My Country tis of Thee, land of the Free and the home of the. brave, has been taken over without a shot being fired. In a war of ideas this country has been subjected to for past several years I!ve been writing about it past eight years, in my Philosophy of Freedom, posting on my website, over a thousand articles posted.

I repeat the great military strategist Sun Tzu, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will suffer defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

As I see it, the message President Obama presented to the people in his prayer breakfast speech was a blessing in disguise, and I thank him for presenting it. It’s the catalyst to awaken the people from their slumber.

From Herbert Spencer comes this quote – 1820-1903. “There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is a proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance – that principle is condemnation before investigation.”
