I’ve received many requests via my web-site comment section, asking for contact information. Despite the fact my e-mail address is on each article, there is some difficulty with it. My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org. If one contacts me via my e-mail, I’ll try to respond.
Current news is dominated by the hijacked aircraft from Malasyia. I’m as fascinated by the mystery as anyone else. A great deal of conjecture and theories, as experts comb through the evidence, and no doubt will ultimately find the answers we all want to know. My interest stems from several areas, not the least of which having been married to a professional pilot 24 years, I want to know more about the history of the pilots. I personally suspect the plane may have been flown to another country, for example, Pakistan, Iran or North Korea but who knows.
My intense interest in individual Freedom leads me to equate the hijacking of an airplane carrying over 200 passengers, to the hijacking of Freedom in this country. As we read daily reports of more and greater take-over by our political government, each day we hear something new. The latest news is the relinquishment of control of the Internet. Just handing it over to some international entity of control. Which I find quite disturbing. In my opinion, the geometric progression of take-over of individual freedom by our political leaders, tantamount to hijacking of one’s Freedom.
Despite the fact we might not know what’s coming next, the end result is definitely predictable, which is bondage and enslavement by a Socialist system which is the antithesis of individual freedom and the Principles upon which this nation was founded. Sadly the tragedy in our history, it seems, there’s an expedited effort in this year 2014, for the final push, just around the corner.
While there appears to be some expectation of intended consequence, of a miraculous turn-around in November as a result of mid-term elections, to reverse the control of Democrats back in the hands of Republicans, most elected Republicans in bed with the mind-set of Democrats.
There is a third party of Libertarians. However the two major parties are in control politically in this country. And I don’t personally see much insofar as difference in their actions, talk and political philosophy. The end result is both parties seek more and more control over lives and property of the citizenry in this country, any difference is a matter of degree.
I could be sincerely wrong, however if I’m right in my assumption, the only difference is a matter of degree, then what? There was a time in this country when the individual self-government, had the upper-hand, and political government adhered to the limitations as outlined in the laws of the Constitution. Under the free-enterprise, capitalistic system of economics. But all that has changed, political government now holds such power over lives, property and means of production, Individual Freedom, private property ownership and means of production has been hijacked by a different political system.
Infringement and inroads into one’s health issues is the last straw. Freedom is self-government and self-control, losing control of one’s personal health issues, means it’s time to ask, “What’s left?”
There is an answer to the dilemma we face, but we will not recognize nor act upon it until we first come to grips with the cause of the problems of bondage we now face. And so long as we keep blackmailing ourselves into believing the cause lies outside ourselves, the answer to our dilemma will delude us, and continue down this road of illusion, expecting others to “fix.”
Regardless of the reason and outcome of the hijacked airplane, it’s a shocking event. Unimaginable horror and terror to the passengers and their families. My heartfelt empathy and prayers go out to the victims.
Aside from that, my concern for this country and future of my children and grandchildren remain, as I observe conditions going from bad to worse daily and whatever the future holds for all of us is in our hands, to accept or change.
