It’s been almost two weeks since posting Part One of this article. During that time I’ve received an unusual number of comments on the subject matter. Many wanting to know more about this subject of groupy participation versus individual action.
Here’s a comment on Issue 915, I received this morning from Juliann: “You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I think I would never understand, it seems too complicated and broad for me, I am looking forward for your next post. I’ll try to get the hang of it.”
I appreciate the straightforward honesty of the comment, and the expression of a desire to “get the hang of it.” Juliann speaks to the very core of why I keep writing these articles, i.e. in the hopes that across America, people will began to get the hang of it relative to what’s happening to my beloved country, and Freedom.
In order to understand what is happening, in my opinion one must go back and begin with basics of understanding how and why political governments exist in general, then understand about our particular form of political government. One needs to understand that our government originally was formed as a constitutional republic. Begin by studying the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
Secondly Juliann, take the time to understand yourself. What do you think, currently, What do you know? What do you believe? What do you want? What are your goals? Do you desire Freedom? Do you understand what it Means? And you do this by inventorying. Just begin writing it all down, and thoughts and understanding come to you.
Once you understand yourself, begin inventorying about how others think and act compared to an understanding of yourself. A good basic book to read that’s been around a long time is Dale Carnegie’s book titled “How To Win Friends and Influence People. Contains a lot of common sense about individuals, to understand yourself and others.
Personally, my quest for understanding truth began a long time ago, recalling in highschool, saying to a friend, what I want to know is, where did I come from, why am I here, and where am I going? Thus my search began, and today I know the answers to those three questions.
There are no magic bullets, no pill one can take, no kind of shot, no one book, no one course, no one meeting. One simply starts with a desire to know, and acting to search. You have an amazing power within yourself as an individual, which is a matter of discovery.
I suggest to understand individualism versus group think, you go back and read the articles I’ve written previously, almost one-thousand. Because I address a number of issues relative to my life, ideas, and discoveries, in these articles.
Despite the fact Freedom is simply self-responsibility and self control, I spent seven years studying the Philosophy of Freedom before I clearly understood its meaning, which covers a number of areas of one’s everyday life, to fully grasp.
With reference to group think versus individualism, never in history has there been such a time as now, to observe an out-picturing of the difference in those two ideas.
Take for example the Tea Party organization. Thousands of well-meaning, good and decent Americans joined, hoping to participate in changing the direction this nation has taken. Despite any efforts as a group, things have gone from bad to worse, since its inception as an Organization. Currently the Tea Party is under attack by those involved in the power of the political process.
In the latter stages of the “Transformation of America” President Obama promised in his first campaign speeches, over five years ago, today there has been an almost complete conversion of the Principles upon which this nation was founded over to an entirely different system of Socialism. The groundwork had already been laid for this conversion before he took office. Currently the finishing touches as we read about political government, using its power to attack groups in general and individuals in particular.
Freedom of religion is under fire as the government attacks religious organizations. Freedom of the Press is under attack, as well as that of individuals through the powerful political entity, Internal Revenue.
Without a shot being fired, our food supply is under attack, as we read about the power of Monsanto to genetically modify it with the backing and support of political government.
Despite the fact no shots fired, the threats of all the loaded guns political government uses to control the citizenry, to destroy personal Freedom, are today in full force on all fronts of life in these United States. As the citizenry seeks rebuttal via organizations, to no avail, it becomes crystal clear, organizations are not the answer, to preserve and return to a life of Freedom we once knew, and inherited as a free gift from those who fought and died for individual freedom in this country.
Bondage and enslavement closing in via the power of 535 representatives, nine justices, and one Executive, over 300 million-plus Americans. So powerful has this small group become, Individual Freedom has been so stomped and squashed, it’s taboo to talk about it.
You, Juliann, speak for the majority when you say you don’t comprehend what’s taking place. I wish to inform you it’s not rocket science, in this age of information, that which is taking place is all over the news on around the clock coverage. We hear and refuse to heed, the bondage and enslavement surrounding us.
Freedom is not free, there’s a price to having and sustaining. That eternal vigilance spoken of in our history books which has obviously been ignored.
There’s a story a few years ago, about a preacher named Harrington, known as the Bourbon Street preacher from New Orleans. A lady wrote to him, saying she did not understand Revelations. Pastor Harrington yelled, “Lady get back to Mathew, get back to Mathew.” In other words advice to return to basics to understand the end result. And so it is with what’s happened in this country. We must have a desire for truth, and elementary basic understanding of what it means to regain a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Each individual must stop and think, and realize the responsibility each one of us has to regain and sustain personal freedom.
Individuals have given up and given in to a small group of politicians, who have taken over property ownership, which is the basis of Freedom. We have allowed ourselves to be robbed in broad daylight, of those precious things which constitute personal freedom.
Apathetic laziness in our thinking and actions, have caused us to wind up in this hellish state of bondage. We have done it to ourselves individually. We must recognize what “others” have done, but must stop blaming others, because the fact is, we have done it to ourselves. Recovery will not result from group action, but only via individuals assuming the self-responsibility required to be free.
I want to thank you Juliann for your comment, and particularly your desire to “get the hang of it,” My advice is hang in and hang on, with a determination to understand, and comprehand the problem, then take action in your own life to improve conditions. Start thinking and talking and learning about Freedom, then pass on your discoveries to others. Know there’s much you can do and must do to enjoy Freedom.
H.L. Mencken said, “Governments, whatever their pretenses otherwise, try to preserve themselves by holding the individual down. Government itself, indeed may be reasonably defined as a conspiracy against him. Its one pernament aim, whatever its form to hobble him sufficiently to maintain itself.”
Let FREEDOM RING
