In order to understand Freedom, one must know something about Socialism, which is the antithesis of Freedom. I’ve written about it before, however, because we are in the latter days of Socialism replacing the former Principles of government, fast and furious, some reminders are in order.

Benghazi is still in the news. So many stories currently circulating about the invasion of Internal Revenue tactics. More stories about the executive branch of our government spying on journalists and members of the press, invading the privacy of sources and so many other news items regarding the mis-use of govermental powers violating Constitutional Rights, it appears the march of Socialism has this nation in a down-hill drag, in its latter stages.

Congress doing what it always does, investigates, procrastinates, then gets all dressed up to appear on evening news programs, to promote themselves for the next election. Their main agenda is getting in office and staying in office, and feathering their financial nest, Fiddling while Rome burns.

Dear hearts and gentle people we are so far down the road of Socialism take-over, I see nothing on the horizon to turn the tide. It’s a hellish state we are in.

So what is Socialism? First off there are two main types or branches of it, that is Communism and Fascism. In fascism, business operations are left in the hands of owners by name only, while a centralized government totally controls the means of production and all relating to it. Which is what Germany had under Hitler. Plus tight reins via the threat of a gun, dictating and spying on its people, 24-7.

Communism is slightly different, inasmuch as a centralized government owns everything. All ways and means, including name heading all means of production. And control of everything in their country. The people act only as the government dictates in every area of their lives.

Both types pretty much use Marx and Engels Communist Manifesto as their Bible and rulership of the people, Socialism is the absence of Freedom. And a country and its people which have a system of Socialism, is ruled iron-clad by a centralized government group, that enforces its bondage. Socialist governments have sovereign powers in all areas of individuals lives. Obedience to the rules and regulations dictated by the centralized power is tantamount. Enforced by guns, which means death or imprisonment for disobedience to the dictates of the State.

Communist Socialism, means a system of social organization, in which goods are held in common interest, the opposite of the system of private property ownership. It’s a system by which the state controls means of production, distribution and consumption of industrial products. A communist is an adherent or advocate of communism.

To fully understand how Socialist communism works, I highly recommend reading the book “Witness” by Whitaker Chambers, who was a dyed in the wool card-carrying communist who worked in our State Department, but eventually defected and wrote the very massive detailed book. One of the most interesting books I have ever read. It’s obtainable through Amazon. For further understanding of the progression of totalitarianism, I suggest reading George Orwell’s 1984, plus “Animal farm.”

A quote from Orwell in Animal Farm: “All animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

A statement we can relate to current conditions in this country. We are all created equal, however as aired nightly over the news, we can readily see, those in seats of political power, writing the script and pulling the strings, are more equal than the average individual, as the Socialistic system over takes our original form of government, at a fast and furious pace.

In this country in the original documents of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution of laws, we can read and see the overriding Principles were Freedom for the individual and one’s right to own private property, the antithesis of socialism. However those in power have abandoned those basic founding Principles and replaced with Socialism.

We can feel, see, and hear and experience those changes in our daily lives, getting progressively worse each day and reported over the nightly news. We can recognize in many areas, not the least of which is in the devaluation, and monetary devaluation chaos of hyper inflation.

Here’s a great quote from social philosopher and economist, Ludwig Von Mises : “The champions of socialism call themselves progressives, but they recommend a system which is characterized by rigid observance of routine and by a resistance to every kind of improvement. They call themselves liberals, but they are intent upon abolishing liberty. They call themselves Democrats, but they yearn for dictatorship. They call themselves revolutionaries, but they want to make the government omnipotent. They promise the blessings of the Garden of Eden, but they plan to transform the world into a giant post-office. Every man but one a subordinate clerk in a bureau. What an alluring Utopia!!! What a noble cause to fight.”

Please re-read that quote from Von Mises.
