During the long presidential campaign for the 2008 election, Barack Obama repeated like a mantra that he was going to “Transform America.” However, he never explained his plans as to how he was going to do that. And no one questioned, certainly not the news media, and no one demanded to know how he was going to Transform America. Nor why he wanted to do that.

Off the top of my head, my question is, why would anyone want to transform America. WE had the best of all worlds for a number of years, when this country operated pretty much according to the US Constitution, the document of laws, and the Declaration of Independence. Operating under a system that laid the groundwork to provide the greatest good for the greatest number, which allowed “Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness,” the Freedom to flourish, according to the individual’s pursuit of it, in the majority of cases.

As I understand from history books, there was a great deal of heated debate by the founding fathers over the term “pursuit of happiness,” because many wanted that to be “Life, Liberty and Property,” however they finally agreed to use pursuit of happiness instead of the word “property,” but the term implies property. That is one’s inalienable Right to own property privately.

The capitalistic, Free Enterprise system guaranteed one’s Right to a voluntary exchange of goods and services. And under this system of government, any individual had the Freedom to create and acquire as much as he desired, according to his plans, ability, determination and willingness to work. It’s a matter of history that out of this system, the citizenry carved the greatest and most desirable way of life known to mankind. The greatest good for the greatest number. Therefore why would anyone want to transform this? And secondly, transform to what?

Now we know the answer to that second question, because the transformation has already taken place, from a country of individual Freedom, and private property ownership, to a country of Socialism, according to the tenets outlined in the Communist manifesto. Individual freedom has been severely curtailed and ownership of private property is almost nonexistent.

Here we are just past the first decade of the 21st century, living in an entirely different world, with remnants and memories of that country whose government guranteed those “inalienable Rights of Life, Liberty, and Property.” It came about over a period of time, and did not happen overnight. During the twentieth century, which began with more Freedom than we have today, slowly like dripping water, the erosian of a way of life began. However, towards the latter part of twentieth century, we still had more individual Freedom left than has been taken in the past decade, when the notion of transformation went into high gear.

When President Obama took over two years ago, he told this nation repeatedly he was going to Transform America. We now know what he meant, because he has expedited the drive to transform from a capitalistic, constitutional government into a system of Socialism, which appears more Fascist than Communistic, but basic tenets of both systems of Socialism very much in place, and more and more every day.

So here we are beginning the second decade of the twenty-first century, with the economy on the verge of collapse, energy and food prices rising rapidly daily, housing tanking, unemployment very high, the dollar diminishing and all the signs of a downward spiral and vanishing way of life as we once knew it.

The US Constitution, a document of laws this nation was founded upon, is now mocked, defied and ignored. So evident from the beginning of the current regime when Obama refused to provide a birth certificate. The Constitution states a President must be born in this country. Why did Obama wait two years into his presidency before providing a birth certificate, while the nation stewed over whether or not he was a a born citizen. Today he presents a birth certificate and speaks about it mockingly.

Donald Trump led the battle to see one, and when provided two years into his term, President Obama said, “Normally I would not comment on something like this because there’s a lot of stuff swirling in the press on any given day, and I’ve got other things to do.” To that I say his first order of business is to act according to the US Constitution which says one must be born here to be president and he is the one who has refused to provide that proof, these past two years.

With reference to so-called “birthers” who have demanded a birth certificate, and Trump in particular, he says: “We’re not going to be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts, not going to be able to solve our problems if we get distracted by side shows and carnival barkers.” A rather snide, sarcastic remark about a serious situation he created.

In order for me to understand his actions and in-actions relative to a birth certificate to prove his eligibility to be President, I’m reminded of the “con game” of political government. That is, keep your eye on one ball while I’m doing something with another. There is still a lot of secrecy surrounding much in his life, but he refers to the birth certificate fiasco as a distraction.

It is a distraction he perpetrated for the past two years. I suggest the refusal to provide information mandated by the Constitution was a ploy to keep the attention off, as much as possible, all the Socialist agenda he ramrodded through congress. Now realizing the birth certificate issue was becoming more and more prominent as he campaigns to be re-elected, his presentation of a birth certificate was political timing strategy, because it has become such an issue. An issue which should have been in the forefront of the last campaign. However, the voters were so mesmerized by his charismatic rhetoric to “transform” America, they didn’t seem to care where he was born. Along with non-caring over what his transformation meant.

Because of Donald Trump, the daily news over the absence of proof he is an American born-citizen, became so prevalent he was forced to reveal a birth certificate. Then uses the news over his revelation, to use name-calling and mockery of the American people. As if he is above reproach, sitting atop a throne of power looking down his nose at the rest of us, for daring to demand proof his election is according to the laws of the Constitution, claiming it a distraction. And he is correct it is a distraction but one of his making.

All the actions of wrong-doing relating to transforming this country from its original intent to what it is today is not all Obama’s fault. However he expedited the process with a speed of enacting and promoting Socialist programs, like no other before him.

In the meantime, there is no let-up in the severity of the Crisis we face on so many fronts in this country today. We wake up to conditions worse than the day before on so many fronts. While the leader and President of The United States campaigns for re-election and spends much of his time dealing with other countries, and problems outside the borders of this country. As Commander-in-Chief, so many wars raging, at unfathomable cost to the American tax-payer. We’re at war in Iraq, Afganistan, Libya, the Mexican border war, killing Americans everyday and the War of Ideas at the root of all of it. Never in the history of this nation have we faced so many problems on so many fronts as we do today. And appears Congress is just diddling and fiddling while Rome burns, so to speak. Or the other analogy of rearranging deck chairs while the Titanic sinks.

I’m just one individual, sitting here in the red clay hills of North Georgia, writing articles about my perception, from what I see and hear over the daily news. I could be sincerely wrong on my views about all that is happening, and only hope conditions are not as bad as I perceive them. On the other hand, they could be worse than I perceive. Tomorrow, next week, and next month, will reveal more about the conditions I describe.

Trump is, of course, proud of himself for (doing his job) “outing” this and getting Obama to comply. So the circus of distraction continues.
